Nursing home Bene Vita has a team of physiotherapists who take care of our residents.
Services of physical therapy are provided for all residents of the nursing home, irrespective of age, mobility, and the severity of the condition. It is important for the elderly to do the exercises to keep and improve their mobility, but also their physical and psychological health. Individual aided exercises, active and/or passive, are performed daily.
Our focus for disabled and invalids is on strengthening their muscle mass and increase the range of motion and mobility. Physical therapy prevents complications caused by long-term lying down, such as decubitus, pneumonia, contracture, and thrombosis.
People with no mobility impairments participate in group exercises to preserve their existing mobility, with the supervision of physical therapists.
Through physical therapy, we aim to help the elderly to be able to independently perform daily activities to improve their quality of life.
