Protection of personal data

Your privacy is important to us. We want you to feel safe with us, and we act accordingly and in compliance with legal regulations on personal data protection, especially the new European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which has been in effect since May 25, 2018. Below we inform you of the purposes for which we collect and use your personal data, and how you can oversee these processes and exercise your rights.

Our IT systems are protected by technical and organizational measures against unauthorized access, modification, or distribution of your data, as well as against loss or deletion.

Purposes and legal basis for data processing

You can rest assured: we use your personal data exclusively for the purpose of fulfilling your requests, entering into and executing contracts, and solely for our own marketing and achieving other legitimate interests to improve our business, as well as to comply with our legal obligations. We use data only for defined, clear, legitimate and expected purposes and do not forward or use it for unforeseen or unexpected purposes.

Processing is carried out in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and Croatian laws and regulations.

Cookies and web analytics

On our website we use cookies to enable certain technical features and thus ensure a positive user experience. We also use cookies that enable web analytics, i.e. analysis of the use of our pages, which we carry out to improve the quality and content of the services offered. We do not use cookies or similar technologies to track your interests and send marketing materials. Detailed information about the use of cookies on our website can be found on the cookies page.

For the processing of this data for analytical purposes, we use the Google Analytics cloud service. In accordance with our agreement, Google does not use this data for any other purposes and acts as a data processor exclusively on our behalf. In accordance with its membership in the so-called Privacy Shield program of cooperation between the European Union (EU) and the United States of America (USA), Google takes all necessary measures to protect data. Period for which personal data will be stored

We keep your data for as long as there is a purpose for keeping and processing it:

  • Contractual documentation (accounting records): 11 years (accounting regulations)
  • Information offers: 6 months (in case of subsequent inquiries)
  • Compensation claims: 10 years from the finality of the decision or settlement (statute of limitations regulations)
  • Inquiries: 3 years (in case of repeated inquiries)

Unless otherwise indicated, the retention period begins at the end of the calendar year in which the offer was made or the purchase contract was fulfilled.

If the same data is used for several different purposes, we keep it until the expiry of the later retention period; however, we stop using it for other purposes for which the (shorter) retention period has expired. After the expiry of the data retention period, your data that is no longer needed is either irreversibly anonymized (and anonymized data may be retained) or deleted / destroyed in a secure manner.

Rights of data subjects

Regarding the collection and processing of your personal data, we ensure you the following rights:

Right of access

You have the right to obtain from us confirmation as to whether personal data relating to you is being processed and, if such personal data is being processed, access to the personal data and the following information: the purpose of processing, the categories of personal data concerned, the recipients or categories of recipients of personal data, the period for which personal data will be stored, information about your rights and sources of data if not collected from you.

If your data is transferred and processed outside the EU, you have the right to information about the appropriate safeguards.

Where possible, you may receive a copy of the personal data being processed.

Right to rectification

You have the right to obtain from us the rectification of inaccurate personal data relating to you, which we are obliged to carry out without undue delay. Taking into account the purposes of processing, you have the right to have incomplete personal data completed, including by providing an additional statement.

Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”)

You have the right to obtain from us the erasure of personal data relating to you, without undue delay, if there is no lawful reason for further processing of that data on our part (for example, if the data is no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which it was processed). If such a lawful reason does exist, we will inform you in detail about it as part of the response to your erasure request.

Right to restriction of processing

You have the right to obtain from us restriction of the processing of your personal data in the following situations: if you contest the accuracy; if processing is unlawful and you oppose erasure; if you require it for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims and we no longer need it for processing; if you have lodged an objection to the processing of your personal data and are awaiting confirmation.

Right to data portability

You have the right to receive the data relating to you that you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to transmit it to another service provider, i.e. data controller, if the following conditions are met: processing is based on your consent or on a contract and is also carried out by automated means.

When exercising your right to data portability, you have the right to have the data transmitted directly from us to another data controller where technically feasible.

Right to object

If the processing of your personal data is based on the pursuit of our legitimate interests, you have the right to object at any time to such processing of personal data to the extent that the processing relates to your data. If you lodge such an objection:

  • regarding direct marketing – we will no longer process your personal data for the purpose of direct marketing;
  • regarding other cases of legitimate interest – we will no longer process your personal data for the purpose to which the objection relates, unless we demonstrate that there are compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or if it is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of our legal claims.
